We can let that slide though.
Today, we are going over everything you need to know to groom and shave just like 007 does.

001. Always Shave Right After the Shower
Shower Before You Shave = Required. Company in the Shower = Optional.
In every film 007 has shaved in, he has done so after a shower.
This shower needs to be hot as well.
This will help the hair on your face to soften up your pores to open on your face.
This is needed for the smoothest shave. Make sure to wash our face while in the shower or before starting the actual shaving process.
If you don't shower before, at least use a hot towel and massage your face for 15-30 seconds. Again, this will loosen up the hairs on your face and make your shave clean and easy.
Try playing some James Bond music while in the shower as long as you’re alone.
Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone how loudly you were singing “You Know My Name.”
002. Use Quality Grooming Products
To keep your skin looking amazing, it is extremely important to use products that are gentle on your skin and body.
If you want a 007 approved brand to go with, choose Floris.
Floris was mentioned in quite a few of the original Ian Fleming novels and was a personal favorite of the author whom was extremely brand loyal.
Often in the novels, Bond would state a personal preference towards the brand.
In the novel Diamonds are Forever, Bond even goes as far as to send a cable to get his bath essentials sent from Floris!
This brand is old school British and will really give you the feeling of being James Bond. Go for the No.89 scent in the shaving soap as this was the type Fleming used and most likely Bond used in the novels.
But, I know if Ian Fleming would be alive today and writing James Bond novels he would choose my company VITAMAN for all of his men's grooming products and in turn so would 007.

003. Deliberate Choice of Razor
Even if your safety razor does not include a gadget, it is your best option for the closest shave.
James Bond has shown us pretty much every way to shave over the years.
From using a Gillette slim handle adjustable razor in Goldfinger to Bond using a Schick Injector razor in Live and Let Die to Bond to using an electric Philips Philishave razor in Die Another Day to Bond using an old fashioned straight edge razor in Skyfall, he has done it all.
For a guy who’s been alive for over 58 years, he has a right to mix things up a bit!
I recommend going with the Goldfinger route, using a safety razor.
Bond would most likely use this option most as it is the quickest and most efficient way to get that close secret agent shave while not spending forever in the bathroom.
That being said if you have a lot of time on your hands and want to treat yourself, go for a straight razor shave like Bond did in Skyfall.
Be careful, gentleman!
While this is the smoothest you’ll ever get when done correctly, it can lead to a mess of bloody nicks and cuts on your face.
When James Bond’s face has nicks and cuts on it, it’s from international terrorists bent on world domination, not his shaving routine.
With this route, you also want to make sure to keep the razor sharpened which will require regular sharpening with a stone or grinder before use.
004. Lubricate and Protect Your Face Properly
007 always makes sure to properly lubricate himself before a shave.
In Skyfall, Bond likes to do certain things the old-fashioned way and before beginning his straight razor shave with Miss Moneypenny, he is seen applying a shaving soap to his face.
To apply a shaving soap, you would also need to invest in a shaving brush and bowl as well to make the application easier.
Go for a badger hair brush as it is the gold standard for shaving cream application and so smooth.
Again, spend a little extra so that the brush will last you a very long time and will be much smoother against your face.
No matter what you choose, make sure it is quality. 007 doesn't ever go cheap and you shouldn't either.
Don't ever use a shaving cream that comes out of an aerosol can! It is extremely unnatural and can damage your face.
James Bond only uses canned shaving cream as a weapon!
005. Take Your Time
“Moneypenny, I will be there eventually; I am enjoying my shave!”
When James Bond isn't saving the world, he enjoys the finer things in life and taking his time to enjoy them.
You should too! We never know how long we are going to be here on Earth and we have to take time for ourselves.
For guys, it can be hard to find those things we should take our time with and enjoy. Shaving is one of those little moments you can take your time with and enjoy.
Gentlemen, the process of shaving is meant to be relaxing and freeing for you. Enjoy it!
In Skyfall, Bond and Moneypenny are taking their time enjoying the process. They have to save the world from Silva; yet, they take their time to enjoy the finer things in life.
It is okay to slow down and enjoy this process. It will also limit the amount of mistakes you may make while shaving.
Put on some James Bond music from John Berry (Diamonds are Forever has some very nice “lounge” music) and enjoy it!
006. Use an Alcohol Free After Shave Balm
After your shave is finished, you want to make sure you have an aftershave cream or liquid to apply to your face to finish the shave.
This will allow your face to stay smooth and will reduce the risk of razor burn or skin irritation in general.
Opt for an alcohol-free aftershave because it will be less harsh and less painful for you if you have any cuts on your face.

007. Use a Skin Protector and Moisturizer
007 has to protect his face from all the dangers he faces!
With as much action as James Bond sees, he has to use a skin protector and a moisturizer.
